Concrete Contractor Bondurant IA - Patios, Driveways & Sidewalks for Newer Homes

In Bondurant we pour the concrete newer homes often still need: backyard patios, driveway extensions and pads, plus fixes to walks and garage floors that have settled.

Bondurant is about two and a half times the size it was in 2010, so a lot of its homes sit on newer lots.

Concrete Work We Do in Bondurant

New concrete patios and patio extensions, third-stall and side driveway pads, front walks and steps, shed and hot tub pads, and lifting or replacing panels that have dropped over settling backfill.

New Neighborhoods, New Fill

Bondurant had 3,860 residents in 2010 and 7,365 in 2020, and the Census Bureau estimates 9,647 for 2025. Growth like that means a lot of lots that were graded and filled recently. Backfill next to a new foundation keeps settling for years, and a patio poured on it before it's firm can drop at the house side. We probe the ground on the site visit, dig out soft fill, and compact a stone base, so the new slab doesn't follow the backfill down.

Bondurant Permits

Bondurant's Public Works forms include a Driveway/Approach Permit Application and a Sidewalk Permit Application, and the city's street code sets residential public walks at 5 feet wide and 4 inches thick, with driveway sections at least 6 inches. We file the application, build to the City's dimensions, and call for any inspection the permit requires. Questions about your lot go to City Hall, and we'll check before we quote.

Around Bondurant

Bondurant was founded in 1884 and named for Alexander C. Bondurant, the area's first settler in 1857. The Chicago Great Western Railway built its station here in 1892. U.S. Route 65 runs along the town, and the Bondurant–Farrar district runs its schools. We work in the older blocks downtown and in the new subdivisions going up around them.
