We pour driveways, stamped and plain patios, sidewalks and pads in Indianola, and we lift sunken slabs back to level.

Indianola's ground is different from the north metro, so we plan for it.

Concrete Work We Do in Indianola

Driveway replacements, stamped concrete and broom-finish patios, front walks and steps, garage floors, shed and spa pads, and mudjacking or foam lifting for slabs that have settled. We also pour shop and machine-shed floors on acreages outside town.

Indianola Permits

The City of Indianola runs driveway permits, sidewalk permits, building permits and temporary street or sidewalk closures through its GeoPermits system. Right-of-way permits come from Public Works. The City's code also sets standards for driveways and curb cuts. We file the permits for you and check the standard that applies before we form.

Hillier Ground South of Des Moines

The last glacier to reach Iowa stopped at the site of present-day Des Moines. South of that line the land is older. The Southern Iowa Drift Plain is made of glacial deposits more than 500,000 years old, carved by streams into steeply rolling hills and valleys, with a mantle of wind-blown silt called loess on the uplands. For concrete, that means more slope, more runoff and more cut-and-fill lots than you see on the flat ground north of the city. We pay extra attention to drainage, to how far fill has been compacted, and to slopes on driveways that climb from the street.

Around Indianola

Indianola has been the Warren County seat since its founding in 1849. Simpson College, founded in 1860, is here, along with the National Balloon Museum, the summer National Balloon Classic and the Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Summerset Trail ends in town. We work in neighborhoods all over Indianola, near the college, around Buxton Park Arboretum, and out along Highway 92.
